Raised in the sands, Delilah was told that magic was a bad thing, and for the longest time, she believed it. She obeyed the law, stayed away from magic, and shunned those who dabbled in it. Then a fateful encountered forever changed her life. No one knows for certain what happened to change her mind so drastically, but what is known is that from hence forth, she was mute. Unable to speak, Delilah couldn't tell anyone what had happened to her, and thus, resorted to exerting her frustrations in research and experimentation. 

Over years of study and practice, Delilah unlocked a secret she had always been told to ignore and shun; Magic. Through her arcanist abilities, Delilah was able to gain back a voice with which to speak with, and with that, she began. This kind of speech was against the law however, and Delilah was kicked out of her home town; the manners of which she spoke was found to be detestable. Annoyed with this ruling, Delilah stormed off, determined to say what she had been wanting to say for years.

Now a-days, Delilah spends her time, telling people of the magic she had found and how she came about it; sharing with others the gift she had been blessed with. Most called her crazy after hearing such a message, but some would listen, and believe her. Whatever you do however, do not call her a witch.
